Best TSA Travel Locks of 2022!

We use locks to protect our valuable items. We use locks on our travel bags to ensure packed items make it to our destination. We use TSA approved locks so that they are not cut-off by security when inspecting our bags.

Locks: TSA has been provided universal “master” keys under agreements with Safe Skies Luggage Locks and Travel Sentry so that certain branded locks may not have to be cut to inspect baggage. These locks are commercially available, and packaging on the locks should indicate they may be opened by TSA officers. TSA has no position on the validity or effectiveness of these product as a security measure and will be forced to remove these products if necessary during the inspection.

TSA approved locks can be used for other applications such as gym lockers, safe boxes, bike locking, etc. Non-TSA approved locks can be used for these applications, but can’t be used for travel. Use non-TSA approved locks for travel and risk them being cut off your luggage upon inspection. For this reason it may be worth purchasing the TSA lock for the added flexibility with travel.
